On July 21, Mr. Cai, General Manager of SXKH (Zhejiang) Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd., traveled to London for a dedicated post-delivery follow-up with a local customer. The trip was designed to give him a first-hand look at how SXKH's Die Spotting Presses are performing on the customer's shop floor, while also offering the chance to conduct a thorough assessment of the UK plastics mould market—an important step as the company prepares to strengthen its position in Britain and across Europe.

The customer was full of praise for the equipment's stability, spotting precision, and intelligent control system, noting that the machines had made a tangible difference in mould assembly and commissioning efficiency, giving a solid boost to the plant's overall output.

As a second-generation leader who studied overseas, Mr. Cai has been steering SXKH's international push since 2014, with his business travels taking him to Japan, Germany, France, Mexico, and beyond. This trip to London is a clear demonstration of SXKH's commitment to putting customers first. "Delivering the equipment is just the start—it's the foundation for a long-term relationship," Mr. Cai said. "You have to get out there and talk to customers face to face if you really want to understand what they need and where they're struggling. That's how we keep making our products and service better."

The UK has one of Europe's most capable manufacturing bases, with the plastics processing industry turning over more than £25 billion a year and supplying critical components to big names like Jaguar Land Rover, Rolls-Royce, and BAE Systems. Demand for injection and compression moulds has been consistently strong, and the country depends heavily on imports—mainly from China, Italy, and Germany.</p><p>Brexit has reshaped the competitive landscape for the UK injection mould market in significant ways. Domestic mould makers are wrestling with higher energy bills, labour shortages, and heavier regulatory demands. The cost of sourcing a medium-complexity two-cavity mould locally has now reached somewhere between £15,000 and £30,000. At the same time, the UK Global Tariff regime applies import duties of 0% to 6.5% on plastic parts and finished moulds, and Chinese products no longer get the preferential EU tariff treatment they once did. That means UK buyers are now weighing total cost and quality more carefully than ever when choosing overseas suppliers—and Chinese suppliers are looking increasingly attractive on cost competitiveness.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Strengthening the UK Presence, Supporting Local Mould Makers</strong></p><p>Since SXKH shipped its first Die Spotting Press to Europe in 2014, the company has built up a localized service network covering Europe, North America, and Latin America. Mr. Cai's latest UK visit signals that SXKH is stepping up its commitment to the British market even further.</p><p>"The UK mould market has been showing a clear trend toward high-precision, highly reliable equipment, which plays right into SXKH's strengths," Mr. Cai noted. "With our comprehensive product range and the service capabilities we've already put in place across Europe, we're in a good position to offer British mould makers better, more cost-effective Die Spotting Press solutions."</p><p>SXKH's <a href=Die Spotting Press lineup spans 50 to 1,000 tons, featuring Siemens PLC-based intelligent control and full-servo closed-loop technology, making them suitable for everything from small-to-medium moulds to large die casting applications. Based in Ningbo, Zhejiang, the company has been focused on the R&D and production of Die Spotting Presses, Fly Spotting Presses, Mold Flippers, and other mould equipment since it was founded in 2009, and now exports to more than 50 countries around the world.

Going forward, SXKH intends to keep building out its localized presence in the UK and wider European market, bringing reliable product quality and professional service to support the continued growth of the local mould industry.
